Eastside Church began in 2010 in Harrisonburg, VA. At just over 54,000 people, Harrisonburg is the largest city in the Shenandoah Valley. It’s home to a large public university, James Madison University, some smaller area universities and colleges, a growing tech industry and a robust manufacturing industry which has attracted many immigrants and refugees. All of these factors result in an active and diverse community with a high quality of life, while still retaining the convenience of a small city.

NEXTGEN PASTOR, ASSOCIATE PASTOR ROLE

Full Time with benefits (will also consider two part-time (.5 FTE) roles for the right candidates)

The NextGen Pastor (Associate Pastor for Spiritual Formation of Children, Youth and Families) at Eastside Church is a dynamic and engaging role responsible for overseeing and leading the Children and Student ministries, covering age ranges from newborns to 12th grade. This position focuses on cultivating environments that prioritize spiritual formation and discipleship. This Associate Pastor role promotes spiritual formation in children, youth, volunteers, and families. By training and managing volunteer leaders, planning impactful events, fostering connections with families, and facilitating parental involvement, the Associate Pastor plays a crucial role in the spiritual formation and community life of the church. Eastside Church endeavors to embody the diversity of Harrisonburg as a kingdom value within our church community.
